2023 – The perfect Scottish Adventure

Where will your 2023 Scottish Adventure take you? Our diary is **OPEN** Come and explore this beautiful part of the world and experience the best of Scotland.  We are so lucky to have a waterfront location, right at the heart of Lochcarron village, and our rooms all have breathtaking views across the water.  Castle Cottage B&B is a great base to stay, whether you need a 1-night stopover on the NC500, or as a base for a few nights to relax, unwind and explore.  We are so close to some great places to visit, with Skye only a short drive away too.  You can wild swim only meters from the front door, we have fabulous local walks, mountain biking and water sports – and this is a Munro Baggers heaven with the famous hills of Torridon, Glen Shiel and the Cuillin all close by. We are open all year and look forward to welcoming you to our home.  Our rooms are suitable for 1 or 2 adults (sorry no animals), and a generous breakfast is included as part of your stay.

The ‘etiquette’ for happy travelling does vary, but there are some easy tips to help you on your way! Our local tourism group has shared this nifty illustration with us, and we thought it could be helpful to anyone heading our way this year.  There are always going to be difficulties balancing the needs of the tourist (typically moving more slowly, enjoying the view) and the local (desperate to get from a to b as fast as possible) when sharing the same stretch of narrow and often pot-holed road!! Following these helpful tips may well improve your experience, and help to keep the blood pressure in check….
